Outcomes range widely with deafness duration and rehabilitation effort; the audiology work-up frames realistic expectations for you.

Can mapping continue in my country?

Ask which brands have service networks where you live before choosing a device; that answer should shape the choice.

Is BAHA different?

Bone-anchored devices bypass the middle ear rather than replacing the cochlea's function; candidacy differs. The work-up sorts this.

What about MRI compatibility?

Modern implants have defined MRI conditions; keep the implant card and ask for the specifics in writing.
