2. What these visits usually are

Clinicians, trainees and students asking for structured time inside a Chinese institution. In practice the requests fall into a few shapes, and they are governed differently:

That last row carries a hard limit of ours: we do not handle genetic test results or biological samples in any form, and we do not advise on the regulatory route for research involving human genetic resources. If your visit touches that, you need institutional and legal advice on both sides, not a translation company.

3. How approval actually works

It is slower and more formal than most applicants expect, and there is no way to make it otherwise.

• The host's education or foreign affairs office is the gatekeeper, not the individual clinician you have corresponded with. A friendly reply from a professor is a good sign, not a placement.
• There is usually a documentary set, credentials, professional registration, a letter from your own institution, sometimes a health declaration and an insurance requirement.
• Calendars bind. Programmes run to academic terms, and a request arriving mid-cycle waits for the next one.
• Language capability is assessed honestly. Some departments observe in Chinese and expect you to follow it. Establish this early rather than discovering it on day one.
• Clinical observation depends on patient consent, which is sought by the institution and can be declined. No arrangement anyone makes overrides a patient saying no, and that is exactly as it should be.

4. What we do

• Correspondence. Writing to the right office in the right register, in Chinese, and translating what comes back in full.
• Application documents. Translating credentials, registration certificates and institutional letters accurately, including anything unfavourable, which we never quietly drop.
• Expectation-setting. Telling you what a host is realistically likely to approve and how long it takes, before you commit to dates.
• Interpretation on site. At the published day rate, so that a round in Chinese is not a week of nodding.

And what we do not: secure a placement, shorten an approval, promise a named supervisor, or represent your institution in an academic negotiation. A placement is granted by the host on academic grounds. An intermediary who suggests otherwise is describing something that is not in their gift.

5. How this is charged

• Translation, per document set, quoted before work begins.
• Correspondence handling, quoted per application, because a two-letter exchange and a six-month negotiation are not the same work.
• Interpretation, per day, at the rate published on How it works.
• Any fee charged by the host institution, paid by you to them, directly. We add nothing to it.
