Disclaimer

What this site is, what it is not, and where our responsibility ends. Short, and meant to be read rather than skipped.

We are not a healthcare provider

Paperwork First provides information, medical record translation and on-site interpretation services. We are not a hospital, a clinic or any kind of medical institution, and we do not employ physicians.

We do not offer medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations, and we do not guarantee any medical outcome. All clinical decisions are made by licensed physicians at the treating institution, under a separate agreement between the patient and that institution. Nothing on this site is a recommendation for any individual, and nothing on it substitutes for an opinion from a qualified clinician who has read your records.

The information here is general

Everything published on this site is general in nature. Rules, prices, processing times and policy change, and they differ between institutions, cities and consulates. Where we state a fact we give its source and the date we last checked it; where we could not verify something, we say so rather than filling the gap.

Work from the primary source, not from us. Where a page cites a policy document, a register or an embassy list, that document is the authority, our page is a translation and an explanation of it.

We take no referral fees

We receive no payment, commission or benefit of any kind from any medical institution for sending a patient there. Our income comes from the fees our clients pay us, which are published on How it works.

Institutions listed anywhere on this site are not our partners and their inclusion is not a recommendation.

What we are, and what we are not

We are not a hospital, a travel agency or a tour operator. Non-medical arrangements described on this site, accommodation, transport and the rest, are carried out by licensed providers, and we are not responsible for how any of them performs.

If a provider pays us an introduction fee, we tell you before you use them, and it does not change what you pay us.

Three things we never do

  • Medicines. We do not buy, collect, carry, forward or handle any medicine, in any form or any circumstance.
  • Genetic data and samples. We do not collect or handle genetic test results or biological samples. Where an institution needs them, you provide them to the institution directly.
  • Payments to institutions or their staff. No cash, gifts, consulting fees, introduction fees or any other benefit passes from us to a public institution or anyone working in one.

We link to official registers, policy documents and institutions’ own sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability. Where we translate a policy text, the Chinese original governs; our translation is provided so that you can understand what it says, not as an official version.

Questions about any of this
